This post is in response to a comment made from an awesome guy (love ya Mikey) in regards to the gift of tongue and whether or not it was a gift from the Spirit. As you read this I pray that it will speak truth into your heart and give an increased understanding of our God and the gifts He so desperately wants to give you.

Alright so here it is...

I Corinthians

12:1 Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.

12:4-6  There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit, There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

12:8-11 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing betwen spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

AND WE ARE TO...eagerly desire the greater gifts (I Cor. 12:31).

So that pretty much says it all.

Wow, it's been soooo long since my last post. I have been extremely busy with trying to balance my life- school and all the things God has been throwing at me lately. I have become so focused and dependant on Christ...it's amazing! He is starting a lot of new things in me. Every day is a whole new experience...(it's so different compared to before). This may sound extremely cheesy, but there is no other way to describe it, but it feels like God is about to let go of me and I am about to fly. I am a little anxious about it because all I will have to keep me up is God. I know that that's how it has been the whole time, but for some reason things feel sooo much bigger than before. God's communicating to me in so many different ways. I love Him so much and He is up to so much! Life is so exciting with Christ and I love it!

My prayer is that we continue to raise up warriors all around us for mass support. God has some big stuff coming and we need to be ready now for the continued attacks on God's leaders/warriors. We need to gather together, praying without ceasing for protection, strength, boldness, more love, more power, more of His love and abundance of gifts. We need to persistantly ask for all of the gifts of the spirit...prophecy, tongue, discernment, healing, speaking in tongue...

We need all of these. Please be praying in the Spirit!!!!

Yeah, school started today and I already have major projects/competitions that are due in two weeks....that's just insane! I have a feeling that I am going to be needing alot of prayer this semester. My alone time with God is essential to my daily survival!!! Please pray that the enemy will not be able to choke out that time that i need by using school/projects. I will be praying for all of you. Cause I know if it is happening to me, then it could be happening to you too. Aaaahhh, life is sooo fun, isn't it?
